Posted 11th Jul, 2007

Denver, USA– Wednesday, July 11, 2007NitroSell, a world leader in Microsoft Dynamics integrated eCommerce for the retail SMB market, was featured in the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference Keynote. NitroSell eCommerce was showcased during a four-minute video feature - only a handful of Microsoft's 600,000 partners receive such high-profile attention. Proof (if it was needed) that NitroSell is doing something unique!

Microsoft Keynote speech on NitroSell

The speech was delivered by Allison Watson to an eight-thousand-strong live audience and to thousands more via the Web. Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President focused on NitroSell's thought leadership and innovation to demonstrate real-world solutions using Microsoft’s Software plus Service partner-opportunity framework. NitroSell President Tom Keane explains, "In our case, Microsoft Dynamics provides the in-store software and NitroSell provides the e-commerce platform and delivery mechanism."

In a case study video shown during the speech, Keane was quoted as saying "Microsoft’s Software plus Services model is a massive inflection point already in motion. It will deeply impact the IT business globally and will then drive huge productivity gains and wealth creation. Local is now global, and Microsoft partners have a huge opportunity to deliver solutions to a larger, geography-independent customer base." He also highlighted how NitroSell’s solutions are tightly integrated with Microsoft's growing range of Windows Live online Services and marketplaces: Live Search, Local.live.com, products.live.com, and Microsoft AdCenter.

The video also featured Todd Jensen, who discusses how NitroSell client AmazingGrapes.com uses Dynamics RMS in combination with NitroSell to revolutionize their businesses by going multi-channel. Since combining Microsoft Dynamics RMS + NitroSell (software + [Web] services), the Amazing Grapes Wine Store has seen their revenues triple, with over 20% of their business coming directly from their Web site.

"NitroSell is an excellent example of how our partners are innovating with Software plus Services today. The combination of Dynamics RMS software with NitroSell eCommerce enables customers to benefit from the best experience across on-premises and hosted solutions," said Marie Huwe, General Manager, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Marketing.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer declared "the era of software plus services is now. Customers are pushing Microsoft to offer more hosted services, and partners will need to adapt their business models to accommodate that reality. In the consumer space, Web services are already firmly in the mainstream, and large enterprises are developing strategies and incorporating it into their decision-making. We are in the process today of building out a service platform in the cloud," Ballmer said. "We're building out a service-based infrastructure, not server by server but a new management model, a new device model, new storage, networking, computational model from the get-go."

NitroSell, as an ISV, is a multiple Microsoft award winner and a world leader in Microsoft Dynamics integrated eCommerce for the retail SMB market, with over 950,000 registered end users.
