pcAmerica’s New E-Commerce Solution Enables
Retailers to Generate Business Online
E-commerce functionality helps business owners develop a web presence,
attract new shoppers and integrate internet sales with the in-store POS system
Pearl River, NY – (July 25, 2012) – In response to the online shopping boom—the number of online shoppers has ballooned to over 170 million — pcAmerica, a leading developer of retail and restaurant point of sale software, has launched a new e-commerce solution, powered by Nitrosell, to assist retail stores in capturing some of this growing market share.
“There’s a lot of money at stake right now as shoppers are turning to the internet to purchase everything from clothes to school supplies to groceries,” said David J. Gosman, CEO of pcAmerica. “It’s estimated that $269 billion in online retail revenue will be generated in the next three years, so retailers need to be proactive in establishing themselves online in order to stay competitive. pcAmerica’s e-commerce solution can assist traditional brick and mortar retailers with everything they need to capture some of the billions of dollars that will be spent online in the next few years.”
The new e-commerce functionality, available in the latest version of pcAmerica’s Cash Register Express™ point of sale software, integrates web store activity with the in-store POS system. Internet orders are downloaded to Cash Register Express™ in near real time and fulfilled in-store. Shoppers may also return their purchases at the B&M location.
Staff can modify inventory in-store and it will automatically update online, allowing retailers to make changes to promotions, product images and descriptions, pricing and other information. The e-commerce interface also includes a variety of tools that syncs inventory levels, customer and shipping information and sales reports for the online and B&M stores to eliminate duplicate record keeping and discrepancies between the two outlets.
“NitroSell is proud to partner with pcAmerica to bring effective and affordable integrated ecommerce to their customers,” stated Jim Morrison, CEO of NitroSell.
Businesses can improve their customer service and increase repeat sales by using the point of sale system to monitor foot/web traffic and buying patterns. This information can be gathered and used to develop in-store or web-only promotions or to make product recommendations online.
pcAmerica’s e-commerce solution is available for a low monthly subscription fee. The system integrates fully with Google Analytics and e-commerce transaction tracking.
